Getting ready to descend the slippery slope of multimessanger cosmological black holes data
LOCATION: Sport & Kurhotel at Bad Moos - Via Val Fiscalina 27, 39030, Sexten
DETAILS
The central focus of these meetings is the discussion of current developments and upcoming advancements in the study of intermediate and supermassive black holes. This is particularly exciting as we are starting to interpret the first JWST data while also preparing for a new wave of experiments – including LISA, Athena, AXIS, and SKA – set to commence appriximately within a decade.
These revolutionary experiments are anticipated to substantially enhance our understanding of astrophysical black holes. However, to fully exploit their scientific potential, we need to develop innovative models and observational techniques to prepare the community for the complex data these ambitious experiments will yield. Our first two meetings drew global experts in the field and have been heralded as highly successful.
Feedback from these gatherings led us to conceive the idea of organizing a series of regular events, aiming to establish a solid roadmap to prepare the scientific community to extract the most valuable insights from the impending influx of new data. The main objectives of these meetings include fostering collaboration between theoretical modelers and observers, providing a platform for the exchange of ideas, formulating novel strategies for data exploitation, and coordinating community efforts. We intend to maintain the tradition of hosting these meetings in the winter, with the next one slated for January or February 2025. We eagerly anticipate the enthusiastic engagement of the community as we collectively prepare to harness the exciting data that the 2030s will offer.
