Chemical and dynamical evolution of galaxies
LOCATION: Sport & Kurhotel at Bad Moos - Via Val Fiscalina 27, 39030, Sexten
DETAILS
In the last years a great deal of observational data concerning the Milky Way and local galaxies have appeared. Large surveys such as RAVE, SEGUE-1 and Segue-2, ARGOS, LAMOST, GALAH, Apogee, Gaia-ESO and AMBRE are now sheding light on the chemical evolution of the various Galactic components: halo, thick,- , thin-disk and bulge.
The kinematics and chemical informations released by such surveys can allow us to reconstruct the history of star formation and assembly of the these various components. High resolution spectroscopic data are now available also for local galaxies such as dwarf spheroidals and ultra-faint galaxies. On the other hand, chemical and dynamical modelling is becoming more and more detailed.
It is therefore important to compare the results of numerical simulations and observational data to understand the formation and evolution of galaxies. In this conference we focuse on the following topics:
i) Chemical evolution of galaxies and their modeling
ii) Dynamical evolution of galaxies and their modeling
iii) Star formation histories and SN and nova rates
iv) Stellar chemical yields and nucleosynthesis
